L'article de l'année est un prix annuel qui détermine le mieux écrit/plus apprécié/plus utile article écrit par un arbitre pour les autres arbitres. Le processus de vote change d'année en année. Actuellement, il y a un vote préliminaire dans les différentes catégories (en utilisant le site internet : "SurveyMonkey.com" ) puis les gagnants de chaque catégorie s'affrontent entre eux.

Pour le prix 2011, tous les articles écrits pas les arbitres pour les arbitres ont été elligibles. Comme en 2010, les écrivains de rubriques régulières ont été invités à soumettre un de leurs articles au vote.

Judge Article of the Year 2010

For the 2010 contest articles that were published outside the WotC website were also included in the voting. Writers from regular columns (for example "The Justice League" on Starcitygames) were invited to submit one of their articles to the vote. L4+ judges were excluded from the competition (except as co-authors, in this case only the other writer(s) could win).

Judge Article of the Year 2009

For this vote preliminary votes for five different categories were held and the winners of the categories were pitted against each other. The prize for winning was a full sponsorship to a Pro Tour of choice. The winner, en:Riccardo Tessitori, declined the prize and it was passed on to en:Justin Hovdenes who used it to attend the World Championship 2010 in Chiba.
